Mid-Atlantic Helps IFA Win National Award (October 2009) |

Early in 2009 Jeff Tyburski of Mid-Atlantic teamed with Rusty Lindhardt of Heery International and Paul Fox of Cline Design to redesign the local chapter of the International Facility Management Association's (IFMA) monthly newsletter. The goal was to create the Chapters first electronic newsletter that could be easily distributed to members using an e-mail link posted on the Chapters web site and could be read within 15 minutes over lunch or a short break at work (http://www.ifmatriangle.org/). This was an extensive overhaul of an old paper version and a number of specific design requirements were developed as part of the design process. The team evaluated several other business organization newsletters and came up with a final layout to meet design requirements. Based the results of a selection process, the newsletter was nominated by IFMA National under the category of best news letter for a large United States IFMA Chapter (over 220 members). This is a very competitive selection process that includes other major metropolitan area IFMA Chapters such as Dallas-Fort Worth and Chicago. On Friday October 9th, the IFMA newsletter was officially awarded the Newsletter of the Year at IFMA's annual World Work Place conference in Orlando, Florida.
