For the third year, Raleigh’s staff collected spare change and donations throughout the year and this year’s total came to $273. Mid-Atlantic matched that amount and a total of $546 was donated to Stop Hunger Now, an international hunger relief organization headquartered in Raleigh. This effort will pay for the material to prepare more than 2,000 meals for some of the planet’s hungriest inhabitants, many of whom are children.
The Raleigh staff also collected 110 pounds of food and Mid-Atlantic matched that with a $110 donation to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. These donations will allow the food bank to provide over 560 meals to the needy residents of NC. Thanks to all employees who contributed to these efforts.
