Mid-Atlantic was recently awarded a contract by the North Carolina Department of Correction, Central Engineering Division to manage the closure of approximately 28 petroleum underground storage tanks (USTs) at 19 facilities. The scope of the contract includes determining the best method for closure, preparing closure design specifications, conducting pre-bid meetings, overseeing the closures and preparing required closure reports. The project is expected to start in the first quarter of 2008.
