Contractors begin addressing certification and work practice requirements under EPA's Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule, issued on April 22, 2010.  The rule involves safe practices for disturbing lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and schools built before 1978.  Contractors must use safe work practices and follow three simple rules: 1) contain the work area; 2) minimize dust; and 3) clean up thoroughly.
